SAN FRANCISCO, February 18, 2009 –- Enterprise software leader SenSage, Inc. has earned the top spot in market share for security log management software in Japan, according to a report by Japanese market analysis firm ITR Corporation.
The study of nearly 30 vendors that compete in the security log management market in Japan shows SenSage with a dominant market share of 30.4 percent, nearly twice that of the nearest competitor. ITR cited SenSage's network of distribution and reseller partners and overall product quality as key differentiators in the marketplace.
In addition, the report cited SenSage's excellence in scalability, storage and analytical functions as key technical advantage.
"Since its product launch in Japan in 2006, SenSage has been accepted by global-scale manufacturers and companies planning to develop comprehensive log management infrastructure in Japan," said Takahiro Yukishima, research analyst, ITR. "ITR sees that more vendors are entering the Japanese market with the growth in demand based on J-SOX compliance, and the competition becomes tighter. However, with its product differentiation, SenSage will remain competitive and lead the market in Japan."
SenSage's products are used by dozens of Japanese government and private organizations, including leading firms in the financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications and consumer products industries. In particular, Japanese organizations rely on SenSage to simplify and demonstrate compliance with the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law, also known as J-SOX.
Over the past few years, SenSage and Tokyo Electron Device (TED) (TSE:27600) have developed a close partnership -- a relationship the report cited as helping SenSage achieve deeper market penetration. SenSage products are also sold in the region by partners Hitachi (TSE: 37350), Fujitsu, Panasonic, JIEC, NRI, Ashisuto, and HP Japan.
"We have a very successful partnership with SenSage in Japan, with customers responding extremely positively to SenSage's innovation in product quality, ease of use and intuitive user interface," said Vic Amano, corporate director, corporate vice president and general manager, CN Business Section, TED. "Working together, we help customers reduce the costs and complexity associated with compliance auditing and security investigations, as well as monitoring privileged user activity and sensitive data use."
SenSage pioneered the enterprise log management and security information and event management (SIEM) markets and delivers the industry's most scalable and customizable solutions. The company has further evolved its technology to create advanced event data warehouse solutions, which are optimized for precise querying and correlation across complex event data sources to address new emerging use cases driving the need for a security data warehouse.
