Chicago -- October 5, 2012 -- Senior executives of high-growth companies will join IDA Ireland and Deloitte for an evening of speakers, panel discussions and networking centered on how to effectively scale and internationalize their business operations.

The complimentary seminar, entitled "Expand your Business Internationally through Ireland", is hosted by Mason Hayes & Curran and Deloitte, and will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17th, at 1871 in Chicago.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the city's latest co-working center for digital startups and sample Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey, made from the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, while learning about international expansion strategies.

Designed for individuals in high-growth companies tasked with determining the location of business critical operations globally, the event will focus on how to build and support a network of international customers by leveraging Ireland as a gateway to Europe.

"Just as 1871 fosters innovation among digital startups in Chicago, Ireland offers a supportive environment for emerging businesses looking to thrive internationally through its technically-savvy workforce and pro-business infrastructure," said Barry O' Dowd, Head of IDA Ireland's Emerging Business Division.

Since 2010, more than 30 emerging businesses from the U.S. and EU such as Marketo, Sangart, Riot Games and Delcath Systems have established their presence in Ireland, working alongside IDA Ireland. These companies, characterized by their innovation, growth potential and ambition to expand, join global leaders such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and Intel, who also chose Ireland as their European hub.

Allen Peterson, CEO of Aasonn, a global systems and technology services consulting firm operating out of the cloud, will share insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with high-growth companies pursuing a global strategy as well as the company's decision to locate in Ireland.

Other speakers and panelists include:

Mary McEvoy, Vice President Emerging Business, IDA Ireland
Daryl Hanberry, Tax Director, Deloitte
